Some patchy early cloud in southern areas, but otherwise a fine, dry day with prolonged periods of sunshine combining with light winds to bring another pleasant late spring day, particularly towards the seasonally warm Lochaber and Wester Ross. Maximum temperature 22 °C.
Tonight:
All dry and most seeing good late sunshine then clear spells, but lower cloud reaching Caithness overnight. Light north to northeast winds. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
Thursday:
Dry. Most enjoying prolonged sunshine with seasonally very warm highs in west. Northern and eastern coasts seeing some lower cloud and with northeast breezes, highs here held to mid-teens. Maximum temperature 24 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Dry and sunny for all on Friday and most during the weekend, but occasional lowering cloud feeding across northern areas for Saturday and Sunday. Again west very warm.
