Rather cloudy start across southern Aberdeenshire with patchy rain and drizzle, but brighter conditions with sunny spells across the north developing more widely through the day. Low cloud and mist continue to affect eastern coastal parts at times. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Some clear spells across northern Aberdeenshire and Moray but generally a rather cloudy night, with mist and low cloud affecting eastern coasts and patchy rain in the south. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Saturday:

Rather cloudy start across southern and eastern Aberdeenshire with patchy light rain and drizzle, but brighter conditions with sunny spells across the north developing more widely through the day. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Mostly cloudy Sunday, although north brighter at times, with rain spreading northeast. Mainly dry with some good sunny spells Monday but Tuesday looks cloudier again, with rain edging north later.

The start of this period is likely to be largely unsettled and mostly mild, with bands or areas of rain moving across most parts of the UK, although tending to be focused more on western and possibly southern parts. Locally strong winds may also accompany the rain at times. Some drier spells are also likely, the best of these probably towards the east and possibly the north. Where skies are clear and winds light overnight, frost and fog are likely, the fog slow to clear. From around the middle of the month, we may see a transition towards more generally drier weather across the UK, and with this it is likely to turn a little cooler overall, with a greater risk of overnight frost.

Whilst the expected weather patterns during late November are highly uncertain, there is a greater chance of spells of high pressure during this period, bringing more in the way of dry weather compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will probably still be some spells of rain, showers, and stronger winds though, especially in the west. Hill snow is also a possibility, mainly in the north. Overall, near or slightly above average temperatures are most likely, though some colder spells are also possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
