Early mist soon clearing then a dry day with long spells of sunshine. Becoming quite warm inland but cooler with some mist along the east coast. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

A sunny evening for most but some low cloud will affect the east. Dry with clear spells and becoming rather chilly overnight with some low cloud spreading inland. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Tuesday:

Early low cloud will mostly burn off but some will continue to afflict the coasts. Otherwise, another dry day with plenty of sunshine and becoming warm inland. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

A dry few days with good spells of sunshine. Warm in the west with the best of the sunshine, cloudier and cooler at times in the east.

High pressure is likely to remain close to the UK into this period, and likely centred to the west or northwest of the country. This means plenty more dry weather for most if not all parts, though with the source region of the air being the North Atlantic, somewhat cooler, or at least less hot, conditions are expected, compared to many recent days. Towards the latter part of July, the influence of high pressure may wane somewhat, allowing a greater chance of rain, showers or thunderstorms compared to earlier in the month. Overall, temperatures are expected to remain above average during this period.
