Low cloud slow to clear at first, gradually clearing away into the afternoon for most to give some prolonged sunshine into the evening. Light winds, breezier along coasts. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Patchy rain and cloud moving in after a bright start to Tuesday. Wednesday looking fine, with sunny spells. Winds picking up overnight, but another decent day Thursday with bright spells.

Areas of low and high pressure will lie in the vicinity of the UK and depending on their location this can result in either dry conditions or wetter episodes with rain or showers. Temperatures will vary, with some large day-to-day swings possible, but overall are likely to be near average.
