Fine throughout, with some sunshine, although this may turn rather rather hazy at times under high cloud. Becoming widely hot, although a little less so in eastern coastal districts. Winds staying light. Maximum temperature 30 °C.

Tonight:

Evening sunny periods will lead into a dry night, staying very warm for many, especially in larger cities. Feeling humid. Minimum temperature 17 °C.

Monday:

Mainly fine once again and increasingly hot, with some further hazy sunshine, perhaps interrupted in the west by one or two showers or possibly thunderstorms. A little breezier, but humid. Maximum temperature 32 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Temperatures climbing further, potentially becoming very hot by day, with very warm intervening nights. Mainly fine with further sunshine, however this perhaps triggering thunderstorms, mainly Tuesday, and perhaps later Thursday.

Fairly changeable conditions at first with periods of rain and showers, especially in the west, and there could be some thundery outbreaks at times. There will likely be some drier and brighter spells though. Into July changeable conditions are likely to continue as Atlantic lows move in from the west, but with transient periods of high pressure. This will lead to spells of rain and cloud interspersed with more settled periods. Temperatures remain widely above average, and the far southeast may retain some of the hot temperatures at first, but likely cooler than the preceding few days.

High pressure patterns are looking slightly more likely than low pressure patterns during this period, meaning a greater chance of settled and drier than average conditions. There is still a chance of some changeable or more unsettled conditions developing at times, with a risk of some heavy and thundery showers. Temperatures are likely to be above normal, with a greater than normal chance of hot conditions developing at times.
