Largely cloudy at first with perhaps a few outbreaks of rain, however otherwise mainly fine with sunny spells developing from late morning. Risk of a few showers close to the Norfolk coast. Breezy for much of the day. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Some clear spells initially but cloud building from the west through the evening with rain arriving early Wednesday morning. Winds easing for a time but becoming breezy again by dawn. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Wednesday:

Unsettled with cloud and rain for much of the day, persistent and at times heavy during the morning, with drier interludes developing later. Breezy. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Breezy on Thursday with sunny spells and remaining largely dry. Winds ease on Friday, but becoming mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain developing, turning heavy at times on Saturday.

It is likely to be fairly unsettled at first, with areas of rain or showers, most widespread across central, southern and eastern areas, perhaps accompanied by some strong winds. Into next week, a northwest-southeast split is most likely, with some further rain or showers in southern and eastern areas, closest to an area of low pressure, whilst the best chance of longer, drier spells will be towards the north and northwest, where some patchy fog and rural frost are possible. It will also turn colder, as a northerly flow becomes established for a time. Later in the period, more widely drier and settled conditions could develop as high pressure becomes slightly more influential, although probably still with a few coastal showers. Temperatures should gradually return closer to average.

Signals for prevailing weather patterns become fairly limited by the turn of the month and the early part of October. As is typical at this time of year, there are likely to be some spells of wet and windy weather along with some drier interludes but no strong preference to whether settled or unsettled regimes will be most dominant. Overall, northwestern parts are more likely to be wettest and windiest. Temperatures likely fluctuating around average.
