Dry evening with plenty of evening sunshine with clear skies following for many. Some patchy cloud possible in the north overnight, but likely staying dry. Staying clearer further south. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Saturday:

Sunny start for most, perhaps cloudier in the north, before thicker cloud spreads south through the evening. Likely dry, but very isolated showers possible later. Very warm again, but breezier. Maximum temperature 29 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Cooler with sunny spells and showers Sunday, these perhaps heavy at times. Dry Monday, with lighter winds, variable cloud and sunny periods. Warm and sunny again Tuesday with light winds.

Dry at first across the south with long sunny periods, where it will also be very warm. Cloudier in the north with some outbreaks of rain, which could be heavy in places, and temperatures nearer normal. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK at the end of July or early August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
