Mainly clear skies to start the evening, becoming cloudy at times especially along the coast and across the entire region by dawn, perhaps some light rain near the Norfolk coast. Winds light north-westerly but breezy along the coast. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Monday:

A cloudy morning perhaps with some light rain near the Norfolk coast. Cloud breaking through the late morning and afternoon with some sunny spells developing. Winds mainly light and variable. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Staying predominantly dry with variable amounts of cloud and some clear or sunny spells, just a small chance of isolated showers. Winds light. Temperatures generally above average.

Dry on Friday for most with sunny spells. Northern and northwestern areas will be cloudier with occasional patchy rain or drizzle. Into the weekend and perhaps the start of next week, more unsettled weather with rain at times, especially across northern parts of the UK. This rain may very well reach southern areas too, but could become more light and patchy here. Confidence becomes lower as we approach the turn of the month, but there are signs that high pressure will return, which means dry conditions would resume, especially in the south. Winds will be mostly light or moderate, occasionally fresh around northern coasts. Temperatures are expected to be near or above normal, warmest in the south, perhaps becoming very warm again by the start of August.

Higher pressure is considered generally more likely than lower pressure through August. This means settled and dry weather will likely prevail, especially across the south. There still could be rain at times across northern parts, but should become less frequent where dry and warm conditions extend northwards. Although most areas may see dry weather for the much of the period, occasional summertime thunderstorms are possible on some days given the right ingredients. Winds are expected to be generally light or moderate, and occasionally fresh around coastal areas. Temperatures will very likely remain above normal, with potential for further hot spells, particularly in the south.
