Visibility
Visibility
Visibility measures the distance at which an object can be clearly seen.
A fine evening with plenty of spring sunshine on Saturday.
This Evening and Tonight:
Remaining dry this evening and overnight. Turning colder as soon as the sun goes down, with some patchy frost possible in rural spots. Some mist and fog may develop overnight, particularly in the east. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
Saturday:
Another dry and settled day ahead with lots of spring sunshine to start the weekend, hazy at times, once any mist or fog has cleared away during the morning. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Another settled day on Sunday with some sunshine though more changeable next week with some rain at times from Tuesday, and feeling cooler than of late.
Updated:
UK long range weather forecast
Changeable conditions for many parts of the UK at the start of this period, as areas of low pressure and their associated frontal zones run close to or over the UK. These are likely to be most active in the north and somewhat weaker further south, closer to a ridge of high pressure extending towards the UK from the west. There is also potential for a cooler period early in this period, with some snow possible in parts of the north. Into April, high pressure may become rather more dominant once again with plenty of dry weather, but with some overnight fog and frost.
Updated:
Blocked or slowly evolving weather patterns are favoured through the early part of April. High pressure is the preferred flavour of this block; this probably centred to the west or north of the UK. This means plenty of dry weather, possibly with some pleasantly warm days, but an ongoing chance of overnight fog and frost. Some rain is still possible at times as weak frontal systems cross the UK. Moving further into April, there is an increasing chance that high pressure will become less dominant and thus a greater chance of more places seeing some rain and possible stronger winds from time to time. Overall, temperatures panning out somewhere near to average.
