Showers, with possible thunderstorms, will move into the south and west of the UK for a time this weekend, before high pressure becomes re-established.

Showers and thunderstorms today and tomorrow, though some staying dry.
Showery rain easing away in the west, skies then brightening up with periods of hazy sunshine. Isolated heavy showers and thunderstorms developing this afternoon, mainly in the east. Feeling very warm in the sunshine. Occasionally breezy. Maximum temperature 26 °C.
Occasional showers remain possible this evening and overnight, but many places will have lengthy dry periods. A much milder night and feeling quite warm and humid in places. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
A warm day with sunny periods developing through the morning. These may allow heavy downpours and thunderstorms to develop by the afternoon. Southern coastal regions perhaps staying mainly dry. Maximum temperature 23 °C.
Isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms on Tuesday, but turning dry and mainly sunny once more thereafter. Feeling very warm in the sunshine but nights trending cooler again.
