Any cloud or mist clearing relatively quickly, leaving a fine day with plenty of strong sunshine and high UV levels. Feeling very warm with a light breeze around the coasts. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Tonight:

A fine end to Wednesday with late evening sunshine. Then a dry night with largely clear skies and light winds. A mild and rather warm night for most. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Thursday:

Another dry day with prolonged amounts of sunshine. Some wispy cloud drifting through at times. Southeasterly breeze picking up in strength but feeling very warm in shelter. Maximum temperature 26 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Largely settled with spells of strong sunshine, hazy at times. Chance of isolated showers, perhaps thundery. Feeling very warm and humid despite a fresh southerly breeze. Very high pollen levels.

Initially hot across eastern Britain in particular, with many areas dry although a few showers will be possible in places, perhaps thundery. Temperatures are likely to lower somewhat into next week, but still remaining very warm across parts of the east and southeast. There will also be an increasing chance of some showers or thunderstorms in southern and western areas, and perhaps some longer spells of rain in the far north. Later in the week and into the following weekend, higher pressure may become more influential, especially across central and southern areas where longer spells of dry and warm weather are most likely, whilst it remains cooler and generally more changeable farther to the northwest.

Rather changeable conditions are anticipated through the first half of July, with the wettest and windiest conditions most likely towards the northwest, with a risk of some heavy rain at times, especially over hills. Southern and eastern areas are most favoured for longer drier and more settled spells, although even here some occasional rain or showers will be possible, perhaps thundery. Temperatures are expected to be above average for most areas, especially towards the southeast where there will be an ongoing chance of some very warm or hot conditions at times.
