Cloudy through the evening and overnight with outbreaks of mainly light, patchy rain, falling as snow over some hills later in the night. Strong and gusty winds around the coast. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Thursday:

Remaining cloudy with light and patchy rain or drizzle throughout the day. Rain falling as snow over some higher hills. Strong winds easing. Becoming colder. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Becoming largely dry on Friday with sunny spells. Dry on Saturday with sunny spells at first, but soon turning cloudier. Cloudy with rain spreading east on Sunday. Winds strengthening Sunday.

Some heavy rain is likely in places, probably focussed on western hills, with some snow at times in the north, mainly on high ground. Strong winds are possible at times, especially around coasts. Temperatures will probably be near normal. Later in the period, there is a chance that drier, more settled conditions may begin to develop.
