Dry through the evening, quite cloudy at first but with increasingly clear skies. Staying mostly dry overnight, with just the odd shower possible around dawn. Breezy, especially around the coast. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Tuesday:

Mostly dry, bright and quite warm in the morning, but chance of the odd shower. Cloudier later with showery rain. Breezy morning, especially around coasts, winds becoming light later. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Dry bright Wednesday morning, cloudier with patchy rain later. Cooler with sunshine and showers on Thursday. Wet and windy on Friday.

Changeable with Atlantic frontal systems moving across the UK at times. These will bring spells of unsettled weather, with showers or longer spells of rain and a risk of strong winds. The wettest conditions will probably be in the northwest of the UK, with a risk of snow on high ground in the north. Drier and brighter interludes with lighter winds will develop between frontal systems. Temperatures are expected to be close to average overall, perhaps with some colder spells in the north and warmer conditions in the south at times.

High pressure will probably be the most dominant pattern during this period with a good deal of dry weather across the UK as whole. Some unsettled interludes could develop at times, but overall rainfall amounts are expected to be below average. Temperatures will probably be near to or slightly above normal, although some cold nights are still possible.
