Today:

A grey and murky start this morning, with some coastal fog in the west. Cloud will gradually break up in the east leading to some sunshine here, but staying rather cloudy further west. Feeling very warm and humid. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Tonight:

Some late sunshine in the east, otherwise a rather cloudy night with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading east. Remaining humid, with some murky conditions near coasts. Minimum temperature 15 °C.

Saturday:

A cloudy start with some spots of rain, especially over the hills. The cloud will break up throughout the morning, leading to a much brighter afternoon. Feeling a tad fresher. Maximum temperature 24 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

High pressure building bringing plenty of dry and sunny weather. Temperatures increasing by day and night with hot and humid conditions developing which may trigger a few showers.

Probably a north-south split at the start of this period. Many areas in the south will be mainly fine and dry with temperatures well above normal, albeit with a small risk of a few showers or thunderstorms at times. In the north, changeable with some showers or spells of rain, perhaps heavy at times, and temperatures near normal, although with drier, brighter periods also. Into late June, high pressure may begin to build with conditions becoming more widely dry and settled. Temperatures are likely to be above normal for many areas.

High pressure patterns are slightly more likely than low pressure patterns during this period, meaning settled and drier than average conditions are most probable. However, there is still a chance of some changeable, more unsettled conditions could develop at times, and a risk of some heavy and thundery showers. Temperatures are likely to be above normal, with a greater than normal chance of hot conditions developing.
