Cloudy at first in the morning with a few showery outbreaks of rain. Turning drier through the day with increasing amounts of sunshine. Feeling much fresher than recent days. Rather breezy particularly across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:

Dry and sunny into the evening, with clear spells overnight, cloud increasing from the west towards dawn. Much cooler than recent nights. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Monday:

Rather cloudy with some bright or sunny spells across especially into the afternoon. Temperatures close to the late June average. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Largely dry with sunny spells next week, but a few showers possible at times, particularly on Tuesday. Light winds. Feeling pleasant in the sunshine with near normal temperatures.

Some rain is possible across Scotland on Friday, easing as it spreads south and east before clearing away. High pressure will dominate across England and Wales over the weekend, bringing dry and warm conditions with plenty of sunshine for most. Scotland and Northern Ireland will probably see more cloud this weekend, with periods of rain mainly affecting western Scotland at times. Into the following working week, high pressure remains slow moving over England and Wales, perhaps extending northwards to bring drier and warmer weather to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Winds will be light to moderate for most, though stronger around northern hills and coasts near low pressure systems. Temperatures will rise through the period, perhaps becoming very warm or hot in places.

High pressure is looking slightly more likely than low pressure during the early part of this period, meaning a greater chance of settled and drier than average conditions. Outbreaks of rain and stronger are possible at times, these more likely further north. As normal for the time of year, there is still a chance of some heavy and thundery showers which may interrupt any warm and settled weather. Towards the end of July there is no reliable signal for preferring any one weather pattern over another. However, temperatures are likely to be above normal on the whole, with a greater than normal chance of hot conditions developing at times.
