Showers move into the south and west before settled conditions prevail next week
Showers, with possible thunderstorms, will move into the south and west of the UK for a time this weekend, before high pressure becomes re-established.

Showers and thunderstorms today and tomorrow, though some staying dry.
Dry and warm with sunny periods for most but a chance of heavy showers and thunderstorms in the south, especially later this afternoon, these drifting northwards during the evening. Maximum temperature 25 °C.
Occasional showers remain possible this evening and overnight, but many places will become mainly dry. A much milder night than of late with temperatures staying in double figures for most. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
A warm day with sunny periods developing through the morning. These may allow heavy downpours and thunderstorms to develop by the afternoon. Gusty winds in any thunderstorms. Maximum temperature 23 °C.
Isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms on Tuesday, but dry and sunny for most. Remaining settled thereafter, feeling very warm in the sunshine but nights trending cooler again.
