A dry and widely sunny day today across the country, with perhaps some cloud bubbling up later in the day. Another hot day with temperatures way above average for the time of year. Maximum temperature 33 °C.

Tonight:

A fine and warm evening for many, although the odd thunderstorm may develop across the south. Remaining warm overnight with plenty of clear skies. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Wednesday:

Another dry and sunny day, although there is a small chance of the odd shower developing in the south. Not as hot but still feeling very warm. Maximum temperature 29 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Staying largely dry and settled, although a few showers may develop from time to time, especially later Thursday. Very warm initially but gradually turning cooler.

A more changeable period than we have seen of late, as Atlantic weather systems move in from the west to bring a mixture of drier spells and some showers, or longer spells of rain at times. The rain will likely be heaviest in parts of the west and northwest, with the best of the drier conditions more likely towards the south and east. Temperatures will be near-normal overall, with the warmest spots most likely across eastern areas. It will also be breezy at times, most especially across northwestern areas.

Probably changeable or unsettled at first with Atlantic frontal systems bringing showers or longer spells of rain at times. From mid-month, high pressure may begin to become more dominant with conditions becoming dry and more settled, although some showery interludes are still possible. Temperatures are expected to be near normal at first, but probably rising above average later.
