A generally brighter day, albeit somewhat cloudy at times. Rain quickly clearing southern areas then sunny spells for most. Passing showers in the north later. Blustery winds in places. Mild. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Some rain arriving on Monday, this heavy and persistent in the northwest. Thereafter, much drier than recently and very mild with occasional rain in the west. Brightest in the east.

Rainfall will typically be heaviest in the west, with much less reaching sheltered eastern areas. Some snow is possible across high ground in the north. Winds will probably be strong at times, with a risk of gales. Temperatures are likely to be near to or slightly above normal.
