It will stay largely dry overnight. There will be clear spells. However, fog and frost are likely to re-form in the east, whilst it turns cloudy and breezy further west, with patchy light rain possible. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Monday:

Fog and frost should clear readily in the east on Monday, leaving bright spells. However, expect a strengthening easterly breeze, and patchy rain could develop in the far west. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Cloudy with rain at times on Tuesday, accompanied by a southeasterly breeze. Further rain on Wednesday and for a while on Thursday, before turning clearer and colder later.

High pressure will initially dominate, leading to widely settled conditions and overnight frost. A few showers will be possible, particularly in northern and western Scotland, and perhaps along some North Sea coasts for a time. Later in the weekend, a transition to more unsettled conditions is expected as bands of rain, and associated areas of low pressure, arrive from the North Atlantic, bringing more widespread wet and windy weather. It is likely to remain fairly changeable through the remainder of the period, with occasional rain interspersed with brighter, showery spells. Whilst colder conditions will be possible at times, especially at first, it will often be mild, with temperatures near or a little above average for the time of year.

Changeable or unsettled conditions are expected through late November and into early December, as Atlantic frontal systems track close to or across the UK at times. These will bring periods of rain and strong winds, interspersed with brighter, more showery interludes. Temperatures will often be mild, particularly away from the far northwest where brief colder interludes are possible. Although confidence is low, there may be a tendency for the track of low pressure systems to shift southwards later in the period. In this scenario, rain will still be possible at times across central and southern parts of the UK, while more northern areas may become somewhat drier and perhaps colder.
