This Evening and Tonight:

A dry evening for many but showers are possible in eastern counties and also in Cornwall. Isolated heavy showers are possible pretty much anywhere overnight but many places remaining relatively dry. Mild with temperatures staying in double figures for some. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Sunday:

Often dry but isolated showers may develop, with thunderstorms possible in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Dorset later. Grey, cool and breezy in Cornwall and north Devon. Warmer in southern coastal regions. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Largely dry through this period with a mixture of cloud and sunny/clear spells. Temperatures generally above average and feeling pleasantly warm in the sunshine, albeit with some chilly nights.

The final week of March into the start of April looks to be characterised by a slowly evolving, but changeable weather pattern. Initially, a dry interlude is likely with spells of sunshine across many areas. With time, these drier conditions will become more favoured across the south. Further north and northwest, there is a greater chance of rain or showers at times, these accompanied by windier spells and a chance of gales for parts of the far northwest. There is a small chance that these wetter, more unsettled conditions could become more widespread for a time. Temperatures will probably pan out close to average overall, though chilly nights remain possible where clear skies coincide with light winds.

Confidence is lower than normal, but blocked or slow-moving weather patterns are most probable through the middle of April. This can lead to slow-moving areas of low and high pressure and, depending on their location, this can result in periods of either dry conditions or wetter episodes with rain or showers. Temperatures will vary, with some large day-to-day swings possible, but overall are likely to be near average.
