A fine evening with some late sunshine. Skies will cloud over after dark though, with some showery outbreaks of rain arriving overnight. A mild night, though a southerly breeze developing. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Sunday:

Outbreaks of showery clearing during the morning, the rain perhaps locally heavy early on. Dry and rather warm in the afternoon with some bright spells. Cloudier in the west later. Maximum temperature 24 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Unsettled at first with spells of showery rain at times and brisk winds. Settling down for Wednesday, with spells of sunshine and temperatures around the seasonal average.

Changeable initially, with some dry interludes and relatively cool nights, interspersed with occasional outbreaks of rain or showers arriving from the west, perhaps accompanied by some strong winds at times too. However, a trend towards more widely settled conditions seems likely from around next weekend and beyond, as high pressure becomes increasingly influential in the vicinity of the UK. This should lead to longer, drier interludes, especially in the south and southwest, with any rain or showers more likely towards the north and east. Temperatures will probably be close to average overall, though still with some relatively cool nights at times.

High pressure initially close to the UK, with a continuation of more settled conditions at times, may eventually start to weaken its influence on the weather towards the end of September. As a result, it may become more changeable with a greater chance of rain or showers in places, and perhaps some strong winds at times too. Temperatures will likely be a little above average overall, with relatively cool nights possible at first tending to reduce in frequency later in the period.
