Dry evening with plenty of evening sunshine with clear skies following for many. The odd patch of higher cloud, perhaps thickest in the east. Staying dry overnight with light winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Saturday:

Another very warm, dry and largely sunny day, occasionally hazy due to higher cloud, most likely later in the day. Turning breezy especially along the English Channel coast. Maximum temperature 30 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Cooler with sunny spells and showers Sunday, these perhaps heavy at times. Dry Monday, with lighter winds, variable cloud and sunny periods. Warm and sunny again Tuesday with light winds.

Dry at first across the south with long sunny periods, where it will also be very warm. Cloudier in the north with some outbreaks of rain, which could be heavy in places, and temperatures nearer normal. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK at the end of July or early August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
