Showers will continue through the evening, generally becoming light and more isolated although the odd heavier burst still possible. Showers easing away through the early hours with some clear spells developing and feeling cold in places. Light winds. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Monday:

Bright spells and frequent showers through the day, some of which are likely to be heavy and thundery. Clouding over from the west overnight as rain and stronger winds arrive. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Tuesday breezy with early rain turning to frequent heavy showers. Wednesday breezy with rain and heavy showers. Becoming more settled and dry on Thursday. Temperatures becoming warmer.

High pressure is expected to bring a good deal of fair, warm weather to the UK during the Bank Holiday weekend. It may be cloudier with a chance of some showers across Northern Ireland and Scotland, but even here it will be much warmer than the previous week and there will be plenty of dry weather around too. Through the following week, high pressure is expected to broadly remain in place for much of the UK, and fine weather is likely to continue for most of the country. There may be occasions where low pressure to the north may bring some brief spells of rain across northern parts, but in general fair weather will dominate. Temperatures are expected to be above normal, feeling very warm at times with light winds.

Fair weather is more likely to dominate, at least at first. Rain and showers are possible at times, mainly across Northern Ireland and Scotland, but the main emphasis remains for fine and dry weather for most places. As we head towards mid-June, more mixed conditions are likely with spells of rain and showers. Drier weather is expected between any bouts of wetter weather, these drier interludes will tend to last longer across the south and east of England. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above average overall, with some warm or very warm weather possible.
