It will be a cloudy, damp and in places murky evening, with fog patches on the hills. Turning drier overnight, but cloud may be thick enough for light drizzle on hills. Staying rather cloudy, but mild with a light breeze. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Tuesday:

Tuesday will be a mostly dry, though often fairly cloudy and breezy day. Some bright spells developing, especially in the afternoon, when it will become very mild. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Wednesday looks mostly dry and very mild with some sunshine, especially in the east. Cooling down thereafter and turning more unsettled with some rain and strong winds possible at times.

Changeable conditions are expected, with Atlantic frontal systems spreading across the UK, interspersed with drier and brighter interludes. Rainfall will typically be heaviest in the northwest, with much less reaching sheltered eastern areas. Some snow is possible across high ground in the north. Drier and more settled periods perhaps become more prolonged later in the period, especially in the east. Winds will probably be strong at times, with a risk of gales. Temperatures are likely to be near to or slightly above average.
