Showers easing today, then clearer with some frost overnight.

Today:

Easter Sunday will start on a rather cloudy, breezy and showery note. The showers will become very isolated by the middle of the day though, leaving plenty of sunny spells for the afternoon. Feeling a bit colder than of late. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

An isolated light shower is possible early this evening, but with a ridge of high pressure toppling across overnight it looks largely dry with clear periods. A slight frost forming. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Monday:

Easter Monday should be a fine day. Some cloud is likely, especially during the morning, and it will be breezy. However, feeling a little warmer when the sun breaks through. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Tuesday will be another dry day with some warm sunshine, though breezy. Cloudier on Wednesday with some rain overnight, then brighter, but cooler and rather showery on Thursday.

Changeable with Atlantic frontal systems moving across the UK at times. These will bring spells of unsettled weather, with showers or longer spells of rain and a risk of strong winds. The wettest conditions will probably be in the northwest of the UK, with a risk of snow on high ground in the north. Drier and brighter interludes with lighter winds will develop between frontal systems. Temperatures are expected to be close to average overall, perhaps with some colder spells in the north and warmer conditions in the south at times.

It is probable that more blocked, or at least slowly evolving, weather patterns will become increasingly dominant through late April into May. Whilst confidence is low, this may result in more settled and drier conditions overall, although some more unsettled interludes are still possible at times. Temperatures will probably be close to or above normal for the period as a whole.
