Tonight:

There will be bright spells and a few showers to end the day. Clear spells will develop overnight, with isolated showers lingering in the north. Remaining fairly breezy, though mild. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Monday:

Apart from an early light shower in the north, Monday promises to be generally dry with bright or sunny spells. Feeling quite warm in the westerly breeze. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

The weather looks mostly dry and settled during the period. There will be plenty of sunshine, and it will feel increasing warm again in the lighter winds.

Dry at first across the south with sunny periods, where it will also be very warm. Cloudier in the north with showers or some longer outbreaks of rain, which could be heavy in places, and temperatures nearer normal. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK at the start of August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
