A damp morning with rain and drizzle at times, but also some drier periods. Further showers are possible during the afternoon, these probably heavier, with hail and thunder possible. Cool. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Cloudy and windy on Sunday with rain at times, perhaps heavy over Cumbria and more widely later. Rain clearing to sunny spells on Monday. Sunshine and blustery showers on Tuesday.

There may still be some showers or longer spells of rain at times, particularly in the north and west. Winds will mostly be light with temperatures probably above normal and it could be hot at times in the south. Towards the end of June, low pressure may begin to have more of an influence, especially across the south, which could lead to outbreaks of heavy showers and thunderstorms.
