Tonight:

A dry, mostly clear but humid night is expected with light winds. Some patchy mist may form inland and along the coast. Minimum temperature 22 °C.

Wednesday:

Dry with long sunny periods and light winds. Widely very warm or hot with heatwave conditions expected, including overnight. Maximum temperature 37 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Temperatures climbing further, potentially reaching very hot levels by day, with very warm nights. Mainly fine with further sunshine, though isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms may develop on Friday.

Fairly changeable conditions at first with periods of rain and showers, and there could be some thundery outbreaks at times. There will likely be some drier and brighter spells though. Into July changeable conditions are likely to continue as Atlantic lows move in from the west, but with transient periods of high pressure. This will lead to spells of rain and cloud interspersed with more settled periods. Temperatures remain widely above average, and the far southeast may retain some of the hot temperatures at first, but likely cooler than the preceding few days.

High pressure patterns are looking slightly more likely than low pressure patterns during this period, meaning a greater chance of settled and drier than average conditions. There is still a chance of some changeable or more unsettled conditions developing at times, with a risk of some heavy and thundery showers. Temperatures are likely to be above normal, with a greater than normal chance of hot conditions developing at times.
