Outbreaks of rain will move east east this evening, perhaps heavy at times, clearing around midnight. Remaining windy overnight with some showers, mainly over the Peak District, but clearer spells to the east. Less cold than of late. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Monday:

Rather windy with occasional showers, these perhaps merging into a longer spell of rain later, but also some bright or sunny intervals. Milder than recently. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Less cold than recently, and unsettled through this period. Breezy at times with outbreaks of rain or showers, but also some sunny spells likely in-between. Likely drier on Wednesday.

It will likely remain changeable and at times unsettled for the UK as a whole through this period. Further areas of low pressure moving in from the Atlantic will tend to dominate, meaning showers or longer spells of rain for many parts. Wet weather will more likely be most prevalent across western areas, though given the potential for low pressure systems to become slow-moving in the vicinity of the UK, heavy rain is possible anywhere at times. Periods of windy weather are also possible from time to time. Temperatures probably near normal overall, though the possibility for some colder spells in the north, with the potential for associated winter hazards, and occasional milder interludes further south.

Low pressure is likely to continue to dominate the UK, at least at first, meaning an ongoing likelihood of further spells of rain and windy conditions from time to time. That said there should also be some brief interludes of drier weather too. Temperatures probably remaining close to average, particularly in the south, but there is the possibility of colder conditions, associated with higher pressure extending from the north or northeast, returning to northern areas around the turn of the month.
