Evening showers soon becoming confined to the Derbyshire hills with clear spells developing across most of the region. Winds falling mainly light. Some frost is probable. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Starting sunny on Saturday morning, before turning increasingly cloudy with freshening winds bringing a chance of rain later. Drier again overnight, but milder than Friday night.. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Some sunshine with easing winds on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday fine with sunny or clear spells and turning warmer by day with mostly light winds and above average temperatures.

From the start of April, settled weather is expected to cover much of the UK. Most places are expected to be dry with clear or sunny spells and light winds. Inland areas will see a general day on day warming next week. It will probably remain slightly cooler near coastal areas, with an additional risk of mist or sea fog affecting parts of the east coast. Weather patterns are most likely to remain slow moving through the middle of April. High pressure will probably be centred to the north of the UK, bringing a lot of fine and dry weather. If there are any interludes of rain or showers, particularly later in the month, these are more likely to affect the south of the UK. Temperatures are likely to be above average overall, and feeling warm inland with light winds during the day, although some cold nights are still possible under any clear skies.
