An isolated light shower is still possible during the evening and into the overnight period, though for many it will become dry. Patchy cloud and clear spells developing, clearest skies further east. A mild, though breezy night. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Monday:

Monday will be a generally dry day across the region with bright or sunny spells. Some more prolonged sunshine is possible later. Becoming warm in lighter winds. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

The weather looks generally dry and settled through the period. Variable cloud with bright or sunny spells likely and temperatures will rise again, so feeling hotter, with winds remaining light.

Mostly dry away from the north and northwest where scattered showers are expected. There is a small chance that some other western parts could see some rain by the end of the weekend. Temperatures ranging from around average in the NW to warm in the southeast, perhaps becoming very warm in the southeast through the weekend. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK early in August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
