A dry evening with sunny spells for many. However, showers will move in from the northwest overnight, these occasionally heavy. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

A mixture of sunny spells and blustery showers on Tuesday, with a risk of hail and thunder. Feeling cool for the time of year. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Sunshine and showers Wednesday with a risk of thunder. Rain arriving during Thursday. Friday, sunny spells perhaps with rain or showers. Breezy at times. Rather cool, trending nearer normal.

The start of this period will see a transition to a generally more settled weather pattern for much of the UK, as high pressure exerts more an influence. This will be most noticeable across southern and eastern parts, whereas areas further northwest could often be cloudier with some rain at times.
