Tonight:

An exceptionally hot end to the day, with perhaps the chance of a few thunderstorms during the evening. Staying largely dry with clear spells overnight. Another warm and humid night. Minimum temperature 19 °C.

Saturday:

Largely dry with variable cloud and bright or sunny spells. Chance of heavy showers and thunderstorms arriving from the south during the evening. Still feeling very warm and humid. Maximum temperature 30 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Bands of showers, heavy and possibly thundery, moving east Sunday, introducing much fresher conditions. Dry with warm sunny spells Monday. Scattered, occasionally heavy, showers on Tuesday. Temperatures nearer normal.

Fairly changeable conditions at first with periods of rain and showers, and there could be some thundery outbreaks at times. The best of the drier and brighter weather initially will be across the southeast. Then perhaps a drier start to July for many, although the northwest may still see some rain at times, and perhaps accompanied by some strong winds. Temperatures are likely to be near average in the north and slightly warmer than average in the south, but aren't expected to be as hot as seen recently.

High pressure patterns are looking slightly more likely than low pressure patterns during the early part of this period, meaning a greater chance of settled and drier than average conditions. Although with outbreaks of rain and stronger winds at times, more especially across the north. There is still a chance of some changeable or more unsettled conditions developing later in the period, with a risk of some heavy and thundery showers. Temperatures are likely to be above normal on the whole, with a greater than normal chance of hot conditions developing at times.
