Saturday:

Largely cloudy again but a better chance of skies brightening up than in recent days, with some hazy sunshine in many places. Breezy in coastal regions. Feeling slightly warmer. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Windy and often wet on Sunday with occasional periods of heavy rain, perhaps drier later. Sunshine and heavy showers on Monday, then fewer showers on Tuesday. Temperatures around average.

An unsettled weather pattern is likely to dominate across the UK at the start of this period. Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, and strong winds are expected to spread from the southwest as a deep area of low pressure crosses the UK later next week. This system will likely move away to leave the following weekend showery and cooler. Into the following week, conditions are expected to be changeable with showers or longer spells of rain across many parts of the UK. The wettest weather will probably be in parts of the north or northeast, with the southwest driest overall. Temperatures are expected to be close to or slightly below normal for the time of year.

A showery northwesterly regime should give way to a generally changeable and at times unsettled period as we move into early November, as low pressure systems over the Atlantic track towards the UK. Given this setup, the wettest conditions are most likely in the west, and strong winds could feature at times too. There are just hints that a drier interlude may unfurl across more southern areas towards mid-month, which could increase the incidence of overnight fog.
