Today:

A rather cloudy morning with a few spots of rain. Sunny intervals and showers developing for the afternoon, some of which may be heavy with the odd rumble of thunder. The best of the sunniest conditions on western coasts. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Showers will quickly die out this evening. Then turning cloudier with rain spreading in from the west during the early hours, this occasionally heavy for Dumfries and Galloway. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Tuesday:

A cloudy morning with occasional heavy rain at first. Showers will develop for the afternoon, some possibly heavy with the odd rumble of thunder in the west. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Variable amounts of cloud with showers or a few spells of rain, particularly across western areas. Warmer than of late, particularly in drier, sunnier conditions in the east.

Saturday will be warm with some showery weather and even a chance of thunderstorms in places. Then by Sunday and through Bank Holiday Monday, warm and fair weather is expected to prevail. Through the following week, high pressure is expected to broadly remain in place for much of the UK, and fine weather is likely to continue for most of the country. There may be occasions where low pressure to the north may bring some brief spells of rain across northern parts, but in general fair weather will dominate. Temperatures are expected to be above normal, feeling very warm at times with light winds.

Fair weather is more likely to dominate, at least at first. Rain and showers are possible at times, mainly across Northern Ireland and Scotland, but the main emphasis remains for fine and dry weather for most places. As we head towards mid-June, more mixed conditions are likely with spells of rain and showers. Drier weather is expected between any bouts of wetter weather, these drier interludes will tend to last longer across the south and east of England. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above average overall, with some warm or very warm weather possible.
