A dry start, but cloudy skies already across the south of the region will continue to spread north with outbreaks of rain arriving during the afternoon. Becoming rather breezy later. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Unsettled through the weekend and Monday with sunny spells and showers or longer spells of rain. The showers locally heavy with thunder. Windy with coastal gales possible, temperatures near average.

This will bring showers or longer spells of rain at times, heaviest and most persistent in the northwest together with some strong winds. The southeast is likely to be driest and brightest. Later, conditions may become drier and more settled, especially in the north and east, but parts of the south and west may still see some showers or longer spells of rain. Temperatures will likely be near to or slightly above average.

Blocked patterns with high pressure near to the UK will probably be dominant during this period with a good deal of dry weather across the UK as whole. Some unsettled interludes could develop at times, especially in the south, where rainfall amounts could be above average at times. Temperatures will probably be near to or slightly above normal, although some cold nights are still possible.
