It will stay dry through the evening with some evening sunshine. Staying dry overnight with clear spells perhaps allowing the odd fog patch, somewhat cloudier in the southwest. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Monday:

It will be dry throughout the day with variable cloud and some warm sunny spells. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Dry again on Tuesday with variable cloud and some warm sunny spells. Variable cloud and sunny spells on Wednesday and Thursday with the odd light shower at times. Breezy Thursday.

For much of the UK, dry at first with sunny spells. Northern and northwestern areas will be cloudier with occasional patchy rain or drizzle. Towards the weekend and perhaps into the start of next week, perhaps a more unsettled period with rain at times, especially across northern parts of the UK. This rain may very well reach southern areas too, but could be light and patchy here. Confidence becomes lower as we head into next week, but there are signs that high pressure will return, which means dry conditions would resume, especially in the south. Winds will be mostly light or moderate, occasionally fresh around northern coasts. Temperatures are expected to be near or above normal, warmest in the south, perhaps becoming very warm again by the start of August.

Higher pressure is generally more likely than lower pressure through August. This means settled and dry weather will likely prevail, especially across the south. There still could be rain at times across northern parts, but should become less frequent where dry and warm conditions extend northwards. Although most areas may see dry weather for the much of the period, occasional summertime thunderstorms are possible on some days given the right ingredients. Winds are expected to be generally light or moderate, and occasionally fresh around coastal areas. Temperatures will very likely remain above normal, with potential for further hot spells, particularly in the south.
