Clouding over across Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders this evening, remaining cloudy overnight. Clear across the southwest with evening sunshine but clouding over here later in the night. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Monday:

Outbreaks of rain, occasionally heavy, will spread northeast for a time in the morning and early afternoon. Then becoming dry and eventually brighter. Warm. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Sunny spells and showers on Tuesday. Drier on Wednesday then further showers on Thursday. Warm in any sunshine.

Some hot conditions are likely to develop at times, particularly in southern and eastern areas of the UK.
