Temperatures rising quickly during the morning under strong August sunshine. Winds mostly light, but a little brisker near western coasts. Feeling very warm, locally hot. Maximum temperature 30 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Turning a fresher and cloudier from Friday with perhaps the odd shower by Saturday, and a spell of more organised rain may arrive late Sunday, as winds strengthen.
