Some early brightness in the south, otherwise a rather cloudy day with further rain at times. The rain potentially turning heavier and more persistent for a time. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

An unsettled bank holiday weekend with showers and possibly more thunder on the way. Staying warm to start with but turning fresher as winds shift to a westerly by Monday.

Rainfall amounts will probably be above average for the time year with the wettest conditions in the northwest. Potential for some strong winds at times.
