Tonight:

A clear night for much of the region, and with light winds temperatures will quickly fall, with a chance of a frost in rural areas. Some cloud arriving later. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Thursday:

Fine and bright on Thursday, after a chilly start. A lot of sunshine, probably hazy, with the greatest chance of any thicker cloud affecting Yorkshire. Feeling warmer by afternoon. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Generally dry and settled on Friday but cloudier. Chance of rain later. Dry and brighter over the weekend with some sunny or clear spells. Temperatures near or rather above normal.

Remaining changeable as Atlantic frontal systems bring spells of rain, showers and occasional strong winds. The wettest and windiest conditions will tend to be most frequent across western areas, with longer drier interludes most favoured in the far east and southeast, where it may be very warm at times. Into October, and high pressure to the northeast of the UK may become more influential on the weather, with some longer drier interludes focussed more across the north and northeast of the UK, whilst occasional rain may tend to be more prevalent towards the south and west. Temperatures are expected to be above average for the period as a whole.

Perhaps a spell of mainly dry and settled weather at the start of this period. Thereafter, conditions will probably turn more changeable further into October. Wet and windy conditions become more likely, with a risk of deep areas of low pressure moving across the UK. Temperatures will probably be above normal overall.
