Sunday will get off to a rather cloudy start with showery outbreaks of rain. The showers will become more scattered during the day, allowing some bright to sunny spells to develop at times. Feeling warm in the sunshine, though breezy. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Tonight:

One or two showers will continue during the evening and into the overnight period, though for many it will become dry. Clear spells developing. A mild, though rather breezy night. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Monday:

An isolated light shower is still possible on Monday, especially in the morning. Most areas will have a fine day though with bright or sunny spells. Warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 24 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Though the odd shower cannot be ruled out during the period, most places should hold onto fine weather. Temperatures will creep up again, so feeling hotter in lighter winds.

Dry at first across the south with sunny periods, where it will also be very warm. Cloudier in the north with showers or some longer outbreaks of rain, which could be heavy in places, and temperatures nearer normal. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK at the start of August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
