Early cloud and any lingering outbreaks of rain soon clearing to briefly give sunny spells this morning. Cloudier this afternoon with outbreaks of heavy, showery rain accompanied by strong and gusty winds. Maximum temperature 11 °C.
Tonight:
Cloud and heavy showers clearing this evening to leave a dry night with lengthy clear spells. Strong and gusty winds easing somewhat. Chilly overnight, perhaps with icy patches by dawn. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
Friday:
A chilly and sunny start to Friday, winds falling light. Clouding over during the afternoon, with further strong winds and rain arriving in the evening, perhaps wintry on high ground. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Very wet and windy Saturday, with gales likely. Some snow on high ground. Rain and wind slowly easing later Sunday into Monday, then mostly cloudy and feeling colder.
