Staying windy, with a mixture of sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud. The occasional shower is likely, heavy at times, although some parts could stay dry. Temperatures near normal, or just above, for late October. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Clear spells and showers through the evening. Cloud then thickens after midnight, with further outbreaks of rain likely, perhaps turning persistent in the west. Winds easing slightly, but staying breezy. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Wednesday:

Outbreaks of rain at first, however these gradually fading through the morning with most places dry by the afternoon. Some sunny spells developing, with winds also easing further. Rather mild. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Variable cloud and sunny spells, and temperatures near normal. However, any overnight mist and fog patches could be slow to clear. Winds becoming light and variable. Perhaps some rain Saturday.

Pressure is set to build in the vicinity of the UK as we move into early November, with a lot of dry weather as a result. Before this occurs, a weather front bringing some rain will be in place across some western and northern areas at the very start of this period, but is likely to weaken quickly as high pressure takes charge. Within the high pressure, some places, perhaps more likely towards the east, will likely see overnight and morning fog, which at this time of year could take a while to clear and where it lingers, it will remain chilly. Otherwise, temperatures generally fairly close to average for most during this period.

Probably largely settled at first, perhaps with some chilly nights. Moving further into November, there is an increased chance of more unsettled conditions developing, with a return to spells of rain and potential for strong winds. However, the extent and location of wettest or windiest areas is uncertain. Overall, temperatures will probably be near or a little above average.
