Occasionally heavy rain and strong winds will clear east in the evening. Then becoming dry with increasing clear spells developing. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Saturday:

It will be mostly dry with bright or sunny spells, though turning somewhat cloudier for a time in the afternoon. The odd shower possible in the southwest at first Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Breezy Sunday and Monday with variable cloud and patchy rain at times, but also plenty of dry weather, especially across eastern areas. Some rain through Tuesday morning, then bright spells.

Cloudy with some rain in the far southeast and heavy showers in the far north, but otherwise a good deal of fine and dry weather at the start of this period. This will quickly change as weather systems move in from the Atlantic at the end of next week and over the following weekend. These will bring spells of rain or showers to most areas, heavy at times (especially in the northwest) with some strong winds. Into the middle of the month, similarly changeable conditions are most likely, with a mixture of Atlantic weather systems interspersed with some drier, brighter spells. Temperatures will likely be near to or slightly below normal at first, maybe becoming warmer later.

The second half of October will probably maintain a changeable pattern overall with weather systems often moving in from the Atlantic. These will bring showers or longer spells of rain, with the wettest and windiest weather in the northwest, drier in the southeast. There is a chance that a period of more widely dry conditions could develop for a time, but confidence in the details of this is low. Temperatures will probably be above average overall.
