Cold, dry, bright start to Tuesday. Rain, snow developing later.
Clear spells allowing a widespread frost this evening and tonight, any coastal snow showers in far north dying out overnight. Some icy patches. Northerly breezes easing. Minimum temperature -5 °C.
A frosty start, with some sunshine, lasting longest in east. Cloud thickening from west, with rain reaching West Coast, Hebrides by afternoon, spreading east with snow on high ground. Maximum temperature 5 °C.
Sunshine and a few showers on Wednesday. Wet, windy overnight, turning showery on Thursday. Sunny start Friday, then chance of heavy rain, hill snow and gales later.
