A rather cloudy day with blustery showers, some heavy especially across Northern Argyll, Inverclyde and around Loch Lomond. A few sunny intervals too especially in afternoon. A very windy day too with southwesterly gales, easing later on. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Further blustery showers this evening and tonight, along with a few clear intervals. Strong southwesterly winds, with coastal gales possible for a time overnight. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Wednesday:

Bright or sunny intervals and further showers, most frequent in Argyll but becoming more scattered in the afternoon as winds continue to ease down. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Thursday will be mainly dry, though quite cloudy with a few light showers. Some sunshine around too. A dry start Friday then rain spreading from west. Rain easing later Saturday.

Pressure is set to build in the vicinity of the UK as we move into early November, with a lot of dry weather as a result. Before this occurs, a weather front bringing some rain will be in place across some western and northern areas at the very start of this period, but is likely to weaken quickly as high pressure takes charge. Within the high pressure, some places, perhaps more likely towards the east, will likely see overnight and morning fog, which at this time of year could take a while to clear and where it lingers, it will remain chilly. Otherwise, temperatures generally fairly close to average for most during this period.

Probably largely settled at first, perhaps with some chilly nights. Moving further into November, there is an increased chance of more unsettled conditions developing, with a return to spells of rain and potential for strong winds. However, the extent and location of wettest or windiest areas is uncertain. Overall, temperatures will probably be near or a little above average.
