Some rain across Shetland in the morning. Otherwise it will be dry mainly dry and cloudy but rain likely later in the afternoon. Strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Cloudy on Wednesday with rain at times. Breezy and somewhat brighter on Thursday with showers. Cloud and rain likely Friday morning, then bright spells and showers.

Rainfall will typically be heaviest in the northwest, with much less reaching sheltered eastern areas. Some snow is possible across high ground in the north. Drier and more settled periods perhaps become more prolonged later in the period, especially in the east. Winds will probably be strong at times, with a risk of gales. Temperatures are likely to be near to or slightly above average.
