Showers move into the south and west before settled conditions prevail next week
Showers, with possible thunderstorms, will move into the south and west of the UK for a time this weekend, before high pressure becomes re-established.

Sunny spells and, especially in west, a few heavy showers
A bright day with, especially towards the east coast, some good spells of sunshine around. A few afternoon heavy showers may develop, these mainly across western Aberdeenshire and Moray. Warm for many but east coast cooler with onshore winds. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Some late sunny spells with any afternoon showers dying out. Haar expected to affect eastern areas overnight, but western Aberdeenshire and Moray become cloudier with a few spots of rain. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
East coast haar soon clearing to leave the east largely dry with sunny spells. Western Aberdeenshire and Moray start cloudy with patchy rain but become brighter with scattered showers. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Dry with good spells of sunshine through the coming days, although haar may affect coastal parts at times. Warm in the sunshine, although coasts cooler with onshore breezes.
