Cloud clearing for a time before further cloud pushes in from the west overnight. This will bring some light outbreaks of rain. Much breezier by the morning. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Sunday:

A cooler day to come on Sunday with a mix of sunny spells and showers, these may turn heavy at times. Often rather breezy, if not windy around exposed areas. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Mostly dry into the new week with spells of sunshine. Temperatures gradually increasing again, day by day, with another hotter spell to come.

Dry at first across the south with long sunny periods, where it will also be very warm. Cloudier in the north with some outbreaks of rain, which could be heavy in places, and temperatures nearer normal. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK at the end of July or early August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
